“LE VOL DU BOLI” (THE FLIGHT OF THE BOLI) AT THE CHĂ‚TELET THEATRE

Condividi con:

A great musician Damon Albar and the director Abderrahmane Sissako have joined forces to create an absolutely unique show. It is an opera of the 21st century.

The show recounts the journey of a boli, a Malian animist fetish, between Africa and Europe from the 12th to the 21st century. The Flight of the Boli thus captures an African history, from the Mandingue Empire – the largest that Africa has known, founded in the 13th century – to the present day, passing through colonisation”” as described on the Theatre’s website. This show is not about the mefaits of colonialism, but rather about humour and irony. It is the outcome of 2 years of meetings of musicians, actors and dancers, who have worked in Paris, London and Mali, to offer you this true work which is based on union and dialogue between cultures.

As the theatre is opposite the Britannique hotel, we strongly invite you to go and see this show and give us your opinion! What a beautiful opening of the season in such special sanitary conditions!
