La Fabrique à Spectacles has developed a unique concept of theatrical walking tours which blend history and fiction. Let yourself be guided amid laughter and good humour. You will have great fun during these tours designed as life-size street theatre, played by professional actors. Full of surprises, the staging is lively and it’s an ingenious way to learn about the ‘butte’ (hill) Montmartre or the ‘Passages Couverts’ (Covered shopping arcades) close to the Grand Boulevards.

With L’Esprit de Montmartre (Spirit of Montmartre), dive into the history of Montmartre, its legends and trivia. This famous quarter of Paris was home to burgeoning artists such as Pissaro, Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh and many more. Along the way, you will meet different characters of the ‘Belle Epoque’.

The tours can be conducted in French or in English.

The Enigma of the Passages Couverts in Paris, until the end of December 2011

Become an actor in the scavenger hunt L’Enigme des Passages Couverts, to solve the enigma around the crime committed in 1870 in the Passage Jouffroy. During this theatrical walking tour, you will meet witnesses and suspects in the case.
