The Cabaret Au Lapin Agile has been welcoming audiences to its wonderfully nostalgic little venue nestling on the northern slope of Montmartre in the 18th arrondissement of Paris.
Cabaret Au Lapin Agile, a unique way to enjoy French music
Every evening for almost a century and a half, the oldest cabaret in Paris has seen comedians and singers take to the stage to perform in a warm and intimate atmosphere!

Just before the turn of the 20th century, Frédé – the embodiment of Montmartre and cabaret owner – brought the artistic worlds together and provided writers, poets, musicians and painters with an outlet for creative expression. Evenings accompanied by the guitar or cello gave everyone the chance to play, recite or sing their masterpiece. Early loyal patrons included Picasso, Modigliani and Apollinaire. Later years saw Georges Brassens perform, Annie Girardot read her poems and Claude Nougaro begin his career at the cabaret.
Nothing has changed: there are no sound or light effects and the atmosphere is the same as it always was. Evenings at Cabaret Au Lapin Agile are a fun and unique way to enjoy French music and discover new talent.
